In June 2023, the SmackDown Women's Championship got renamed as Women's World Championship. However, now reports are circulating that Natalya is all set to face Ripley for another Title match on WWE RAW next week. It will be a ‘career-defining’ title match for the veteran star as per reports.

Natalya made her WWE debut in 2008

Since that defeat against the Judgment Day star at the Night of Champions, Natalya has been heartbroken. But, still, the 41-year-old star heaped praises on Ripley during a recent interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter. She said: "It's funny because I lost so much sleep over that match. And honestly, it had a profound impact on me because when I was first told I was gonna be at Night of Champions facing off against Rhea Ripley, it was like a dream match because Rhea is like a generational talent."

Speaking about Natalya’s career, She is a two-time women's world champion as she won the Divas Championship and SmackDown Women's Championship once each. Natalya has also won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with Tamina once. She made his WWE debut in 2008 on an episode of SmackDown. Meanwhile, Ripley also shared about her struggles in the WWE industry in a recent interview on Wrestling with Rosenberg.

She said: "There definitely was a time where I wasn't really sure what was going on or how to do my job in a way. I did get to go to the main while having the NXT Championship and then obviously I had the title match at WrestleMania in the Covid era. But yeah, I don't know. There was like this weird period where I didn't really know how the crowd was reacting to me because there was no crowd in attendance. So, that sort of started the downhill spiral for me in a way."
