The WWE universe is back and how, with the return of some of its biggest stars in the past. Ove rthe last few months, several superstars have made their return in RAW and Smackdown respectively. Fans are all excited for the future of the company, given how crazy the star studded lineup has formed in the locker room right now. Along with the already stars, there are some emerging stars who are exciting to watch and might become future stars in the business. The right combo of these superstars might well harm the Bloodline.
WWE recalled some of the previous legends like The Rock, John Cena, CM Punk, and Randy Orton to the business. The Rock has not taken part in any match since his comeback. Cena was injured badly after the Crown Jewel 2023. But the latest additions like Orton and Punk are as hungry as ever for the success. Along with them, there are some stars who have the crowd on their back in the arena in the last few weeks. All of them would be aiming to bring down the Bloodline.
Here are the five WWE superstars who might face Roman Reigns and the Bloodline in the Royal Rumble 2024.
5. Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes has been one of the top stars in the business since his comeback. The American Nightmare has since gathered the support of the crowd. The issue with Cody has been the inability to finish the story. Cody has been left with the same story every now and then. Even earlier this year in Wrestlemania, Rhodes performed so well against Roman Reigns and the Bloodline, only to be not able to finish the match. Since then, Cody has come a long way.
In the Extreme Rules, Cody defeated Brock Lesnar and went a notch higher. Since then, Cody has been instrumental in bringing Jey Uso to the RAW, where he has backed the latter to make a name for himself. Rhodes has also been a tag team partner with Jey. In the Summerslam, Cody led the team RAW and helped them to attain the win against Judgement Day. Cody is the first superstar to register his name for the Royal Rumble, which shows that he is aiming big.
4. L A Knight
L A Knight has an insane support from the crowd in the recent past. The rise of the superstar in the business in the last few months has been unprecedented. In the last 4 months, L A Knight has forced himself to the top of the business with crowd literally behind him. Cena made his return to Smackdown and became a guest referee for the match between Knight and The Miz. After the win, Cena endorsed Knight. Since then, Knight has been pushed by WWE.
Along with Cena, Knight took part in the Fastlane, defeating the Bloodline duo of Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. As Roman returned to Smackdown after the break, Knight was straightaway booked with him. In the Crown Jewel, Knight faced the Bloodline. Though Knight could not claim a win, he gave a good fight. After Crown Jewel, Knight has been involved in different rivalrioes, as Roman is back for his break. But Knight might again be booked against Roman for the big event.
3. Jey Uso
Jey Uso has been one of the biggest emerging stars in the business at the moment. Earlier this year, him and his tag team pertner Jimmy Uso, who were a part of Bloodline, seperated from the union. In the SummerSlam 2023, Jimmy betrayed Jey in the match against Roman Reigns. It led to a serious damage to Jey's confidence, who left Smackdown and joined Raw. In the period, Jey also evolved himslef to be a contender to be the next face of the company.
Thr crowd has been behind Jey in the recent segments. They seemed to have accepted him as their face. The former Bloodline member is all set to take on Seth Rollins next week on Monday Night Raw for the title. Uso is unlikely to beat Rollins. If it goes against Jey, he might well be booked against Roman for the Royal Rumble. The support of Cody and other superstars has elevated Jey a notch higher in the last few weeks. He is worthy to face Roman again in the main event.
2. C M Punk
C M Punk made his comeback in WWE in Survivor Series 2023, which was chaotic. The fans went absolutely crazy for his comeback, whoich was one of the most unexpected things in WWE. For everything Punk had went through in the past, for everything WWE had to go through in the past, the return of CM Punk was deemed impossible. But Triple H revealed that WWE is ready for anything fans want. It points out the possibility of Punk taking on big names in near future.
It seems as if Punk is up for the challenge. On the Monday Night Raw, Punk claimed that he is back in WWE to make money, not to make friends. It all hints at him aiming big. The signs point at Punk potentially taking on Seth Rollins, who did not seem to be the happiest with the return of Punk. But it cannot be denied that Punk might be booked with Roman as well. After all, Punk always has the crowd behind him. Fans would love to see the big clash in the Royal Rumble.
1. Randy Orton
Randy Orton had a fantastic comeback at the Survivor Series 2024. The entire event seemed to be planned for the return of the viper. The apex predator seemed as hungry as ever, as he took on the Judgement Day in the Survivor Series. The comeback of Randy showed that he still has the fire in him and looks hungry for the success. It was an emotional return for some. There seemed to be no baggage in the way Orton threw himself to the fight as soon as he returned.
The very next day, Orton appeared on the Monday Night Raw. The legend killer faced the Judgement Day members, JD and Dominik Mysterio, and claimed his first win in Raw in more than 18 months. Orton also faced Rhea Ripley and claimed that the Daddy's back. More importantly, Orton calimed that he has an unfinished business with the Bloodline. It all points at Orton being the most probable superstar to take on Roman Reigns and Co. in the Royal Rumble next year.
