The 35-year-old Serbian tennis superstar Novak Djokovic is currently in the headlines of tennis just after the release of a poster for US Open 2022 by the official Twitter handle of the US Open. Notably, Djokovic is involved in a lot of controversies for being unvaccinated as he couldn’t play in the Australian open earlier due to this very reason.
Although, the US government has eased the covid-19 guidelines the clouds over Djokovic’s participation haven’t been cleared till now. So, the fans have urged the authorities for letting him play in the tournament, they took to the comment section of the tweet from the official handle of the US Open.
Apart from this, the fans of the superstar also tweeted and tried to trend the hashtag #LetNovakPlay on Twitter.
There is unequivocally no reason why Djokovic can't play the US Open health, science or logic wise!!

Novak has earned his right to be in the @usopen draw! He’s earned his right to do his job! Sport is one thing, politics another! The two should be separated, sport should always prevail! As @CDCgov have revised their guidelines, please @Stacey_Allaster @SecBlinken #LetNovakPlay pic.twitter.com/dcYLEDET3Q

This is beyond ridiculous and you know it. That's why you deleted the tweet. Get ready for the #BoycottUSOpen tweets if you don't do the right thing and #LetNovakPlay https://t.co/XuK9IiGAn9
Same agenda all over again.

Novak is called on to withdraw from the draw. If I were him, I would wait till the literally last moment to quit the tournament. That would be mine response to CDC "reviewing" travel conditions for 2-3 weeks.

I'm not vaccinated and I'm not planning to get vaccinated - Novak Djokovic
The vaccination row has taken a new turn for Novak Djokovic with every passing tournament in the last couple of months. Earlier, he was axed out of the Australian Open because of being unvaccinated. The senior right-handed backhand had to go through a long legal battle against the government of Australia.
Later on, he participated in the Wimbledon 2022 and won the tournament in a style to add the 21st grand-slam tournament to his cabinet. He is now only behind Rafael Nadal in terms of winning the most grand-slam tournaments.
A few days back, the world's number-six tennis superstar talked about his participation in the US Open after winning the Wimbledon 2022. He went on to express his blunt opinions on being unvaccinated and his future plans regarding the same.
"I'm not vaccinated and I'm not planning to get vaccinated. So, the only good news I can have is them removing the mandated green vaccine card or whatever you call it to enter the United States or exemption,” said Djokovic in his statement.
"I don't know. I don't think the exemption is realistically possible. If that is a possibility, I don't know what exemption would be about. I don't know. I don't have many answers there", he added later.
