Laver Cup 2022 has started with the inaugural match between Casper Ruud and Jack Sock. Ardent tennis fans are waiting to watch the Big 4 in action which includes the likes of greats like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray. Notably, it will also be the last appearance in professional Tennis for Swiss superstar Roger Federer as he has already announced his retirement from tennis.

Apart from all this, Serbian superstar Novak Djokovic is also in the headlines for the last couple of months including his Wimbledon win against Australian star Nick Kyrgios. Recently, he has become the talk of the town for his unique reply to a journalist being asked about his perfect player.

The journalist asked Djokovic if he want to make his ultimate player, and what would be the skills he’d take from each of the big four to make that perfect man.

While answering this question, Djokovic came up with a very humble reply:

“Okay, so, Rafa's strength and I would say physical and mental strength. I would take Roger’s serve and forehand. I would take Andy Murray's defense and return, and I won't put myself in the mix, but I think already that kind of player is already pretty good,” said Djokovic to the journalist.

The 35-year-old veteran will be in action during the Laver Cup for Team Europe against Team World. He will be accompanied by the tennis veterans of Europe including the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Casper Ruud.

Speaking of the Team World, then it will comprise the tennis superstars like Felix Auger-Aliassime, Frances Tiafoe, Diego Schwartzman, Alex de Minaur, Taylor Fritz, and Jack Sock.

Currently, the first match of the competition is being played between Ruud and Sock in the center court of O2 Arena in London. Norwegian star Ruud is leading the first set by 5-3 against Sock.
