The 19-year-old young Spanish tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz has stunned everyone with his amazing performances in only a few years of his small career. On the backs of excellent outings in the ongoing ATP 500 event, Alcaraz has made it to the top five of the ATP rankings. Notably, he has now become the youngest tennis professional to accomplish this feat since his senior and compatriot Rafael Nadal.
The two-handed backhand teenager has reached the finals of the ATP 500 meet in Hamburg. Last time, it was the year 2005 when Rafael Nadal breached the top five rankings of ATP in his teenager at the of 18 only.

Although Alcaraz couldn’t manage to win the title on a clay court in German Open, he lost to Italian youngster Lorenzo Musetti even after defending five match points successfully. The 20-year-old one-handed backhand won the final against Alcaraz with a score line of 6-4, 7-6, 6-4.
Earlier in the semi-final of the German Open, Alcaraz defeated his senior Slovakian counterpart Alex Molcan in straight sets with a handsome score line of 7-6 and 6-1 respectively.
Speaking of the ATP ranking of other players, then Italian lad Mussetti has made a massive improvement in his standing. With an emphatic win in the final of the German Open, the Carrara-based tennis prodigy moved up to 31st rank from 62nd with a massive gain of 31 slots. He is now all set to feature in the US Open from August 29 to improve his rankings further.
The 26-year-old Russian star Daniil Medvedev successfully maintained his number one ranking. Whereas, the recent champion of the Wimbledon grand slam 2022, Novak Djokovic is in the seventh position right now.
