Earlier, Aiden Markram was seen dedicating his century to Elgar and post-match the former Indian skipper Virat Kohli was also seen giving Elgar a signed jersey with a message on it. For his brilliant 7/46 in the second Test, the Indian pacer was awarded with Player of the Match.

Moreover, Dean Elgar and Jasprit Bumrah were adjourned joint winners of the Player of the Series Award. Elgar was magnificent with bat throughout the series as he scored 201 runs with an average of 67. He also scored one century in the series.
