With the World Cup less than 10 days away the former cricketers and experts have shared their views and opinions on the different aspects of the game. The teams are gearing up for the mega-event and will give their best to win the tournament. Team India has been one of the favourites due to the home conditions. The last time they won the World Cup back in 2011 was at home.

Now former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan has shared his opinion on the top 4 teams that will qualify for the knockout stages of the World Cup. He emphasised how well the squads are balanced and their recent performances and skillsets.

The former left-arm pacer has picked India as his No.1 side in the top 4 list. The Men in Blue have shown dominant performances in recent years and that has given them the results. With the World Cup around the corner, they are now the No.1 side in ODIs and in the other two formats as well.

Alongside the two-time champions, the T20 World Cup winner picked South Africa, England, and Australia as the other three teams. The Proteas have been one of the unpredictable sides in the white-ball cricket. Though they have failed to qualify beyond the semi-final stage, even in the 2019 World Cup they failed to qualify for the knockouts as well. But they are surely one of the dark horses when it comes to the mega event.

The defending champions will come to India with high hopes of retaining their title in the subcontinent conditions. It will be a difficult task for the reigning champions to defend their title in the Indian conditions. With the return of Ben Stokes in ODI cricket they have a lot of experience in the middle order and their fearless approach has been their key to winning matches.

Australia is a side we can never write off from the World Cup. They are the most successful side when it comes to the marquee event. The Aussies have won the tournament five times and as always they have a formidable side with a mix of young guns and experience in the squad.
