Afghanistan are on the verge of recording another epic win in the 2023 ODI World Cup. Their bowlers are on a roll against Australia at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium while defending a competitive target of 292. The five-time champions are outclassed by the fighting spirit of 'underdogs' as their batters seem to have lost complete rhythm.

Pace bowler Naveen-ul-Haq drew first blood by dismissing Travis Head for a duck in the second over. The young pacer gave another breakthrough with the wicket of dangerous Mitchell Marsh in the sixth over. Azmatullah Omarzai was introduced into the attack and he got rid of David Warner and Josh Inglis in successive deliveries.

Australia started feeling the heat as they were reduced to 49-4 inside 9 overs. Celebrations have already begun in the Afghanistan dressing room and this disturbed the Australian batters. Marnus Labuchagne was seen constantly complaining to the umpire about the movement inside the Afghanistan dressing room, which hampered his vision and concentration.

However, former Indian cricketer and current Afghanistan team mentor Ajay Jadeja decided to react in a hilarious way after the Australian players panicked. Jadeja made some funny dance moves inside the dressing room and the camera captured it perfectly.

Jadeja deserves huge praise for Afghanistan's historic World Cup campaign

Before coming into the tournament, Afghanistan had won just one game in their World Cup history. But in the 2023 edition, they have already defeated the defending champions England and registered their first ODI win over Pakistan. The unity and fighting spirit of the players so far in the tournament has been excellent.

Jadeja, who took on the role of Afghanistan's mentor for the duration of the World Cup, also deserves a lot of credit for this success.  The 52-year-old, who was part of India’s World Cup squad in three editions (1992, 1996 and 1999), brings a wealth of experience to the Asian side.

Here's how fans reacted to Ajay Jadeja's funny dance from the Afghanistan dressing room:
