The Indian Cricket Team won their third game of the ODI World Cup 2023 on Saturday. The win was against Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This win was huge for the Indian team as they now sit pretty at the top of the points table above New Zealand.

India’s bowling unit came to the fore as they dismissed Pakistan for 191 after being 155/2 at one stage. With the exception of Shardul Thakur each of the Indian bowlers picked two wickets each.

Rohit Sharma led the chase as he scored 86 and Shreyas Iyer supported him well with 53 runs. The Indian team won the game in the 31st over with 7 wickets in hand to spark massive celebrations in the stands.

The Indian Cricket Team normally celebrates by giving each and every player a special prize at the end of the game. T. Dilip the Indian fielding coach started by lauding each and every player for their efforts.

Finally, when the moment came it was shown that KL Rahul had won the best fielder award of the day. Shardul Thakur was seen presenting the gold medal to KL Rahul for his efforts behind the stumps.

With Rishabh Pant injured KL Rahul has been doing the wicket-keeping duties for India. The 31-year-old took an amazing catch to get rid of Imam Ul Haq for 36 on Saturday. KL Rahul dived to his left as he took an amazing grab off Hardik Pandya’s bowling. 

With the bat, KL Rahul scored 19 not out after he came to bat at the fall of Rohit Sharma’s wicket. Earlier in the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament, KL Rahul was instrumental in India’s win over Australia.

KL Rahul scored 97 not out to help India win the game by 6 wickets as he shared a 165-run stand with Virat Kohli. The former Indian skipper was cheering on KL Rahul as the Indian support staff replayed his day in the field on Saturday. KL Rahul will want to continue this form as India gets ready to face Bangladesh on Thursday in Pune.
