England played Afghanistan on Sunday in the 13th match of the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament. The English team was looking for their second successive win after beating Bangladesh by Dharamshala in their last game.
Afghanistan meanwhile are still looking for their first win of the tournament. Hasmatullah Shahidi and his side had begun the ODI World Cup 2023 with a loss to Bangladesh. This was followed by an eight-wicket drubbing at the hands of India in New Delhi.
Afghanistan were put into bat after Jos Buttler had won the toss. There was a massive crowd in New Delhi to watch the game. Apart from the Indian fans there were also Afghan and English fans who were cheering their team on.
Sam Curran loses his cool at the Cameraman
It wasn’t a great day with the ball for Sam Curran as he was hit for 26 runs in his two overs. The heat in New Delhi as well as his bad form with the ball seemed to be bothering the 25-year-old.
Sam Curran could be seen losing his cool when a cameraman came really close to the Englishman. The 25-year-old was seen giving the camera a push as the operator came really close to where Sam Curran was fielding. The five-second clip has left a lot of fans irritated with the behaviour of the youngster.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran gave Afghanistan the perfect start after being put into bat first. The Afghanistan pair added 114 runs for the first wicket in just 16.4 overs. Adil Rashid then did the trick when he dismissed Zadran for 28 runs caught by Joe Root.
Gurbaz raced to yet another ODI fifty this time taking just 33 balls to reach the mark. There was more joy for England when Adil Rashid’s over got two wickets. Jos Buttler took off the bails to stump out Rahmat Shah for a duck. Gurbaz was run out a ball later for 80 thanks to confusion with Hasmatullah Shahidi.
Azmatullah was out for 19 caught by Chris Woakes to give Livingstone his first wicket. Joe Root then got his first wicket when he bowled Shahidi for 14 runs from 36 balls. Veteran batter Mohammad Nabi then fell to Mark Wood for 9 when Joe Root took his second catch of the game.
