Ravindra Jadeja was exceptional with the ball against Australia in the ODI World Cup 2023. It was the best performance from Jadeja in ODIs as a bowler in a long time. the left-arm orthodox spinner got the ball to turn, bounce, grip, and troubled all the Australian batters. The star All-rounder was brilliant with his line and lengths to the batters.

Australia was doing well at one stage with a score of 119/2 and two capable players of spin like Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne in the middle. Smith had settled in the middle at that point. It needed something exceptional from Jadeja to dismiss Smith. And that's exactly what happened, as Jadeja bowled a peach of a delivery to dismiss Smith.

Jadeja went around the wicket and bowled a good length delivery. Smith did not expect the ball to spin and played for the straighter one. But the ball spun just enough, beat the outside edge of Smith to hit the top of the off stump. It was such a delight to watch the delivery. Smith was stunned and clueless. His expressions told a story.

Labuschagne was trying to settle in the middle. For someone who is not a traditional spinner, Jadeja kept it simple with his lengths. But in an attempt to play the sweep shot, Labuschagne mistimed the shot. the ball took the edge of Labuschagne's willow and went behind the stumps, where KL Rahul caught it. Jadeja had his second scalp of the match!

In came Alex Carey. The southpaw did not get much time to settle in the middle. Jadeja was right at him attacking the wickets. Carey tried to sweep the ball. But Jadeja gave no room for Carey. The ball pitched just inside the line and hit the pads. As Jadeja appealed, the umpire raised the fingers to signal the wicket. The crowd went wild, as Jadeja got his third wicket. In his spell, Jadeja conceded only 28 runs and claimed 3 wickets.
