Jasprit Bumrah was phenomenal with the new ball against Afghanistan. The express pacer got the ball to swing into the right hander and at times got it to move away from the right handers as well. For the most part of his spell, Bumrah troubled both the young openers of Afghanistan - Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Bumrah was in full flow and so good to watch.

With the new ball, team India star bowler Bumrah set up both the batters well. He was constantly in and around the fourth stump line and always bowled in the good length. He hardly missed his lengths unless he intended to. The batters in the middle found it difficult to face Bumrah, who was consistent with his line and length, and consistent in doing the same at a very good pace.
Against Zadran, Bumrah was relentless. After the first 5 overs, the swing stopped. That was when Bumrah tried to go a bit back of a length. Zadran hit Siraj at the other end, but tried to play watchfully against Bumrah. The star pacer looked unplayable and eventually got rid of Zadran with a superb delivery. It was bowling of highest quality.

Zadran had no answer to Bumrah in his stay in the middle. The wicket of Zadran was liked by Bumrah. After bowling so well in the first spell, Bumrah got his man. Following the dismissal, Bumrah got his smile and celebrated it in a unique way. Bumrah pointed the right index finger towards his brain, which indicated that a lot of hardwork and smart work behind the dismissal of Zadran.
Notably, this is a celebration from Manchester United player Marcus Rashford. As soon as Bumrah celebrated the way he did, the image of the celebration went viral on the internet.
