Team India openers got off to a flying start during their chase of 257 against Bangladesh at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Thursday, October 19. The duo stitched an 88-run partnership before Hasan Mahmud got rid of dangerous Rohit Sharma. The Indian skipper was on fire right from the start and was the bulk of the contributor in his partnership with Shubman Gill.

However, the youngster slowly got into the rhythm with a boundary against Mahmud in the seventh over. Shimmies down the track in an attempt to loft a length delivery over the mid-off, Gill got a thick outside edge that went for a four. It wasn't his best shot, but it certainly helped the right-hander break the shackles after a cautious start.

But what made the boundary even more appealing was the cameraman's generosity in capturing a golden fan moment from the stands. Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's daughter Sara was present at the stadium and she was delighted after the ball went for a boundary. Sara's joyful claps and celebrations were clearly captured on camera and the video is now going viral on social media.

After Rohit's departure, Gill continued his game with Virat Kohli and scored his maiden half-century in the ODI World Cup. The 24-year-old achieved the milestone with a single in the 19th over off Shoriful Islam. However, he could not convert the good start into a big score as he was dismissed by Mehidy Hasan Miraz in the very next over. Gill returned to the pavilion with 53 runs off 55 balls including five fours and two sixes.

Notably, this is Gill's second game in the ongoing World Cup. The Punjab-born player was ruled out for the first two matches against Australia and Afghanistan after he was diagnosed with dengue. He returned to the side for the high-intensity match against Pakistan but failed to shine.
