The win has further strengthened Pakistan's chances of qualifying for the semifinal of the tournament. They have their last group-stage match against England in Kolkata's Eden Gardens, which will be crucial for them. They will also be keeping an eye on the other results in the tournament, particularly that of New Zealand and Afghanistan, who can also qualify for the semifinals.

The foremost objective for Pakistan would be to win their last match of the group stage against England in Kolkata by as huge a margin as possible. If that happens, they will get a win under their belt and boost their chances of qualification in terms of the net run rate. After that, they have to worry about the result between Sri Lanka and New Zealand, which will happen in Bengaluru.

Pakistan would hope for Sri Lanka's win against New Zealand. It would help their chances of qualifying for the knockouts. In case there will be a tie on the total points between Pakistan and New Zealand, Pakistan would have to beat England by a huge margin in their last league match. In that regard, Pakistan have a schedule by their side. Their match will be played after the one between New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan can also be threatened by Afghanistan, which is currently on a winning streak. Afghanistan will face Australia and South Africa in their last two matches of the group stage respectively. Pakistan would be hoping for Afghanistan to lose both matches. If all these scenarios go in favour of Pakistan, they can end up being the fourth team to qualify for the semifinal of the tournament.
