 As India's quest for an ODI title continues, the spotlight is on Rohit Sharma's team. The last major title India claimed was the 2013 Champions Trophy under MS Dhoni's captaincy. The 2011 ODI Cricket World Cup victory also came under Dhoni's leadership. For the first time, MS Dhoni has shared his thoughts on India's prospects in the current World Cup, making his opinion particularly significant.

"It's a very good team. Bohot accha balance hai team ka. Harlog acha khel rahe hain (The team's balance is extremely good. All the players are playing well). So everything is looking very good. Isse zyada main kuch nahi bolunga, baaki samajhdaar ko ishara kaafi hai (I won't say anything more than this. For the wise, the signal is enough)," said MS Dhoni at an event on Thursday.

When questioned about his dedication to the Indian cricket team, particularly during his early years, the Ranchi native unveiled the motivating factors that sparked and sustained his resolute love for the sport.

“Growing up we really didn’t have much videos to watch. So, when we watched Sachin Tendulkar batting, we would think that we can bat like him only to feel otherwise. He [Sachin] was motivation growing up. But, when I started playing for India, the country was the biggest motivation. Though we lost quite a few matches, but, the motive was to always do well for the country,” he concluded.
