There have been multiple reports of the Indian fan not really getting behind the other teams. Despite this being a working day on Wednesday, the Indian fans thronged to watch the game as a near-capacity crowd was seen enjoying the game.

Another reason could be the presence of Delhi Capitals players like David Warner and Mitchell Marsh. The Australian opener David Warner enjoys a huge support wherever he plays. This can be seen especially in places like Hyderabad and New Delhi due to his IPL exploits.

Logan Van Beek give the Netherlands team an early breakthrough when he had Mitchell Marsh out for 9. The 32-year-old had scored a career-best 121 in the previous game against Pakistan. On Wednesday he was caught by Colin Ackermann to give the Dutch their first wicket of the day.

Steve Smith came to the wicket and added 132 runs for the second wicket along with David Warner. The 34-year-old put behind his bad form to score his first half-century of the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament. Smith was out for 71 runs from just 68 balls with 9 fours and a six.

Marnus Labuschagne kept the runs flowing as he scored an imperious 47-ball 62 runs with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes. Just when the 29-year-old looked set for a century he was caught by Aryan Dutt to give Bas De Leede his first wicket.

The Delhi crowd went nuts when David Warner the local hero scored his 22nd ODI ton with a four. Warner had scored his second successive century after his mammoth 163 versus Pakistan in Bengaluru.
