The spotlight will be on the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad as India faces Australia in the ODI World Cup 2023 final on Sunday. The IND vs AUS cricket match is set to commence at 2:00 PM IST and will be broadcast live in India through streaming and telecast.

This encounter marks the second meeting between India and Australia in this edition of the ODI World Cup. The two teams previously faced off on October 8, with India emerging victorious by six wickets. Australia faced a setback, being bowled out for 199 runs, but KL Rahul and Virat Kohli orchestrated a rescue mission for India after a top-order collapse.

India concluded the league stage with a flawless record of nine wins out of nine matches. In the semi-finals, they secured a convincing 70-run victory over New Zealand. Centuries from Kohli and Shreyas Iyer powered India to an imposing total of 397/4, and Mohammed Shami's stellar performance with seven wickets brought an end to New Zealand's innings at 327.

On the flip side, Australia faced initial setbacks, losing their opening matches against India and South Africa. However, they bounced back with seven consecutive victories in the league stage. In the semi-finals, the Kangaroos triumphed over South Africa by three wickets, successfully chasing down a target of 213.

At the same time, fans are getting excited over things beyond cricket. For starters, the attendance list for the game includes a range of celebrities. The latest report suggests an addition. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone will reportedly make her appearance in the coveted father alongside her father Prakash Padukone. Notably, Mr. Padukone is a personality with sports affinity, given his noteworthy career in Badminton.

Other celebrities in attendance will include major political figures like PM Narendra Modi, and Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma to name a few. It was earlier rumoured that popstar Dua Lipa would be in attendance and would perform in the ceremony before the game. However, those updates were later flagged off. Β
