The legendary Australia batter, David Warner is undoubtedly one of the most charismatic figures in the realm of cricket, boasting a substantial fan following in India. Notably, Warner has displayed his affection for Indian cinema, with his reels featuring the Allu Arjun-starrer "Pushpa" swiftly going viral. Once more, during a World Cup 2023 match between Australia and New Zealand at Dharamshala Cricket Ground in Himachal Pradesh, Warner expressed his fondness for Indian music and "Pushpa."

In the midst of the match, while stationed at the boundary rope, the dynamic Australian opener responded to the DJ playing the song "Srivalli" by recreating Allu Arjun's iconic step from the song. This isn't the first instance of such gestures from Warner on the cricket field. Previously, during a warm-up match against Pakistan in Hyderabad, the former Australian captain was observed imitating dance moves, demonstrating his affinity for Indian culture and entertainment.

David Warner went past Virat Kohli in the list of leading run-scorers in ODI World Cup

David Warner, the star Australian opener, has overtaken Virat Kohli in the list of all-time leading run-scorers in the history of ODI World Cups. Warner achieved this milestone during his 81-run innings against New Zealand in a World Cup group-stage match in Dharamsala on Saturday.

 In this match, the left-handed batter amassed 81 runs from 65 deliveries, which included four fours and five sixes. Starting with 1324 runs from 23 World Cup innings, Warner crossed the 1400-run mark in Dharamsala. In contrast, Virat Kohli's current World Cup runs tally stands at 1384 runs from 31 innings. Warner reached his fifty in just 28 deliveries, surpassing Kohli in the all-time ODI World Cup run chart. Currently, only Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, and Kumara Sangakkara have more runs than Warner in this prestigious list.

During this match, Warner and Travis Head shared a remarkable 175-run opening partnership, with Head going on to score the fastest World Cup century on debut, ultimately getting out for 81. Notably, the duo amassed 118 runs in the Powerplay, setting a new record for the highest World Cup score in the opening 10 overs.
