Pakistan and Afghanistan are locking horns at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Monday, October 23. Both the teams are coming down after losing their previous match. Pakistan suffered a 62-run loss to Australia before losing to arch-rivals India. On the other hand, Afghanistan beat defending champions England but suffered a massive 149-run loss to New Zealand in their last match.

When looking at the head-to-head records in ODIs, the Men in Green have the upper hand against Hashmatullah Shahidi's side. The two have faced each other in a total of seven ODIs, with Pakistan winning all of these occasions. If Afghanistan manages to defeat Babar Azam's side on Monday, it will be their first win against Pakistan in ODI cricket.

It will not be easy for the Afghan team to upset their bitter rivals but they will give their best. Their spin attack is their biggest strength and now they have bolstered it with the addition of Noor Ahmed. The pitch at the Chepauk Stadium is known for assisting spinners, meaning Pakistan will have a tough time against Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Noor.

Speaking at the toss, Afghanistan skipper Shahidi said: "We wanted to bat first, but the toss is not in your hand. One change for us - Noor Ahmad is in for Fazalhaq Farooqi. We played a series against them in Sri Lanka and we wanted more spinning options. We want to restrict them to 250 or less."
