A high-intensity match is underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad as India takes on Australia in the 2023 ODI World Cup final. The Australian bowlers destroyed the Indian batting line-up after opting to bowl first. A quick start from Rohit Sharma and half-centuries from Virat Kohli and KL Rahul helped them cross the 200-run mark.

The Men in Yellow were the happiest team to go into the break after the first innings, restricting the hosts to 240. However, it will not be easy for the Aussie batters to chase down the target as the surface is difficult to bat on and the Indian bowlers are in their best form. Apart from these, the biggest challenge for the visitors to overcome is the Indian crowd support.

The world's largest cricket stadium is filled with the blue army, who cheer and scream for their favourites to bring out their best. Many celebrities are also in attendance to witness the epic encounter. Deepika Padukone, her father and former badminton player Prakash Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shah Rukh Khan are among the thousands of supporters of Team India at the stadium.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also at the venue for the high-octane clash. He entered the stadium a bit late, perhaps during the halfway stage of India's batting innings. Meanwhile, a video released by the Press Trust of India on its X handle of PM Modi arriving at the Ahmedabad airport to attend the finals has gone viral on social media.

Team India bowled out for the first time in this World Cup

Rohit Sharma, like he has done all through the tournament, once again got his team off to a powerful start. India lost Shubman Gill early on but the Indian skipper continued his onslaught. A stunning backward running catch from Travis Head not only dismissed Rohit but also applied breaks to India's scoring rate. In quick succession, India lost the wicket of the in-form Shreyas Iyer.

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul then steadied the ship, but Pat Cummins got rid of the former as soon as he completed his 9th fifty-plus score in this tournament. Rahul lost partners at regular intervals, but his 107-ball 66 was crucial for the team to reach a moderate score. Mitchell Starc picked up three wickets, while skipper Cummins and Josh Hazlewood took two each.
