The 132-game Pro Kabaddi League 2023-24 season saw its group phase end with six teams making it to the next stage. Gujarat Giants and Haryana Steelers are part of the top six teams that have made the playoffs. These two teams will clash during the 2nd Eliminator on Monday only one team will go through to the next phase of the tournament.
Gujarat Giants (GUJ) will be looking at their skipper Fazal Atrachali to make a difference yet again. The Iranian has led his side well during the entire season. At one stage it looked like Gujarat was falling off the pedestal and may not make it to the top six. That was turned around as they found their spark and made it through to the playoffs.
Haryana Steelers (HAR) finished their season in the 5th place just behind Gujarat on the score difference. When the season started Haryana wasn’t even in conversation for the top six teams. Most of the experts felt that U Mumba, UP Yoddhas or Bengal Warriors were the favourites. With a young side, the Haryana Steelers have played out of their skin and shown no fear during the season. With a nothing-to-lose attitude, this has made Haryana a difficult and dangerous side.
