During his stint with Royal Challengers Bangalore, the former Proteas captain has single-handedly won several matches with some outrageous shots. Known for his 360-degree striking, de Villiers has scored over 5000 runs in his 184 IPL matches, including 3 centuries and 40 half-centuries. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) legend Gautam Gambhir is one of the most consistent openers in the history of IPL. Besides his captaincy, Gambhir's batting prowess was also crucial in leading KKR to two titles in the 2012 and 2014 seasons. Taking on the anchoring role in the majority of his 154 IPL matches, the southpaw has scored over 4000 runs. Despite being the leading force in KKR's batting unit, Gambhir never won the Orange Cap and never registered a single century in his IPL journey.

Suresh Raina has earned himself the tag of 'Mr. IPL' with his consistent performances for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) over the years.
