According to Ashwin, the Australian pace duo of Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins might attract a huge bid, eventually crossing the INR 14 crore mark. On social media, the Rajasthan Royals cricketer shared predictions about the auction. He thinks Starc and Cummins might get big money after winning the Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.

The cricketer also said that Shahrukh Khan, released by the Punjab Kings, could go for INR 10 to 14 crores in a bidding war. For Rachin Ravindra, Ashwin predicts bids between INR 4 and 7 crores. Harshal Patel's range, according to Ashwin, is INR 7 to 10 crores. Gerald Coetzee falls in the same bracket as Harshal, and Rovman Powell, as per Ashwin, could get INR 4 to 7 crores.

Ashwin's surprise prediction is about Travis Head, the World Cup hero, whom he believes won't get more than INR 4 crore. However, Ashwin expects veteran Indian fast bowler Umesh Yadav to go for somewhere between INR 4 and 7 crore. It’s worth noting that Head has been phenomenal in the upcoming mini-auction.

Earlier, Ashwin lauded star Australian spinner Nathan Lyon for his amazing achievement. In the first Test between Australia and Pakistan in Perth on Sunday, Nathan Lyon reached a notable milestone by taking his 500th wicket in Test cricket. Lyon now stands among the elite as the eighth bowler to achieve this remarkable feat, placing him in the esteemed company of legendary players in the world of long-format cricket.

"8th bowler and only the 2nd off-spinner in history to pick 500 test wickets. @NathLyon421, congrats, mate #AUSvsPAK," tweeted Ashwin. Ashwin is also on the brink of joining the club. The Indian spinner, who debuted in Tests alongside Lyon in 2011, boasts 489 wickets in 94 matches. Currently the ninth-highest wicket-taker in Tests, Ashwin is closely trailed by Lyon, aged 36, who holds the eighth position in the rankings.
