IPL 2024: Current India player traded to Rajasthan Royals from Lucknow Super Giants

Avesh Khan was originally purchased by LSG for Rs 10 crore in the 2022 mega auction. The right-arm pacer, who played 22 matches for LSG and took 26 wickets, has been traded to Rajasthan Royals for his existing fee.

In the recent update from IPL 2024 that the India fast bowler Avesh Khan has been transferred from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to Rajasthan Royals (RR), with LSG acquiring the services of top-order left-handed batsman Devdutt Padikkal in a direct swap for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

The current India speedster, Avesh Khan is presently a part of the India squad for the T20I series against Australia starting in Visakhapatnam on Thursday and has amassed 55 wickets from 47 IPL matches to date. He was originally purchased by LSG for Rs 10 crore in the 2022 mega auction. The right-arm pacer, who played 22 matches for LSG and took 26 wickets, has been traded to RR for his existing fee.

On the contrary, Padikkal was earlier acquired by RR for Rs 7.75 crore. Both players were retained by their respective franchises this year. Padikkal, in turn, moved to LSG from RR for his existing fee. The left-handed batsman has participated in 57 IPL matches, accumulating 1521 runs, including a century and nine half-centuries.

Padikkal even represented RR in 28 matches, contributing 637 runs. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals have released out-of-form middle-order batsmen Sarfaraz Khan and Manish Pandey. Sarfaraz was acquired for Rs 20 lakh, while Pandey received a substantial Rs 2.40 crore from the franchise. Consequently, DC has freed up an additional Rs 2.60 crore for the upcoming auction.

Travis Head enters IPL 2024 auction

The 29-year-old, who made a remarkable comeback from injury, played a crucial role in Australia's World Cup victory with a brilliant 137 in the final. Head had also scored a century in the World Test Championship final earlier in the year, earning Player of the Match honors on both occasions.
