Pakistan pacer expresses his desire to play IPL in future, urges Indian team to play in Pakistan

Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali has expressed his desire to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Since the IPL 2008, Pakistani players have yet to feature in the cash-rich league. The likes of Younis Khan, Kamran Akmal, Misbah-Ul-Haq, Shahid Afridi, Sohail Tanvir, etc played in that tournament. However, after the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai, the bilateral relations between India and Pakistan didn't exist for the next few years.

Meanwhile, for the first time after 2016, the Pakistan team played in India for the ODI World Cup 2023 in October-November this year. While the team was received well in most parts of India, the Pakistan fans would want to host the Champions Trophy 2025 entirely. In August-September this year, the Asia Cup 2023 was played in Pakistan and Sri Lanka as India couldn't travel to Pakistan. The same challenge might come for the CT2025. 

Meanwhile, CT2017 winner, Ali has said that he wants to play in the IPL in the future.

“Every player wants to play IPL & I wish to play there,” Hasan Ali in an interview with Samma TV.

“It is one of the biggest leagues in the world, and I will play there if there is an opportunity in the future.”

India should come to Pakistan and play cricket: Hasan Ali

Apart from playing the IPL, the right-arm pacer has said that the Men In Blue must come to Pakistan to play cricket as other teams are doing.

“It’s not fair. India should come to Pakistan and play cricket. Every team has played here. New Zealand came here, they left becasue of security threat but came back again and played the entire series. We have the best security. India should definitely come and play in Pakistan,” he said.
