Fans trespassing on the ground during cricket matches is a common sight these days. Despite knowing that there will be punishments for breaching security, some can't resist the urge to meet or touch their favorite cricketers. Among Indian cricketers, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are most often at the receiving end of this fan gesture.
Meanwhile, in a similar incident, crowd favorite Rohit got a new guest during the India vs England first Test at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Ahead of India's first innings batting on Day 1 (Thursday, January 25), a fan stormed the ground and rushed towards the veteran opener.
What made the moment even more interesting was that the young man was wearing a Team India Test jersey with the number 18 written on the back. A Virat Kohli fan invades the pitch to meet and touch the feet of Rohit Sharma! The crowd went berserk, and fans on social media celebrated by sharing the video and flooding the comment section.

India dominates Day 1 of series opener
The incident happened shortly after Rohit and Yashasvi Jaiswal came out to bat following England's first innings in which they got bowled out for 246 in 64.3 overs. Although Rohit didn't look happy with the fan's gesture, he remained calm before security took the invader away from the field. Notably, Kohli had opted out of the first two Tests of the five-match series due to personal reasons.
Talking about the match, Jaiswal (76* off 70) got India off to a flying start in their first innings, with Rohit providing excellent support at the other end in his short stay at the crease. The southpaw came out all guns blazing to show what India's bazball is all about. Meanwhile, Jack Leach (24 off 27) dismissed the India skipper in the 13th over. India ended Day 1 on a high as they are trailing by just 127 runs with 9 wickets in hand.
