The former hasn't been at his best and is yet to take a wicket. Also, the right-arm bowler has been expensive in the limited bowling so far. Despite this, the other bowlers have managed to keep the team in the game. While the home side has set a target of 399 runs, anything can happen in the game apart from a draw. Meanwhile, after day three, India pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who took a six-for in the first innings, has backed the young pacer.

The former said that the team has a lot of confidence in the Bihar player. "That can happen to anyone (didn't have a good day). He has just started to play international cricket. He has started out on Test cricket. We have a lot of confidence in him. This is a long series. We have to rotate players. That is the mindset, I think, obviously, you have to learn by making mistakes. You get better by making mistakes," Bumrah said in the post-match press conference.
