Ravichandran Ashwin picked his 35th fifer in Test cricket to claim the top spot. The 37-year-old blew away suggestions of being out of form with the ball. Kuldeep Yadav picked 4 wickets while Jadeja picked one as England were all out for 145.

It was an amazing day of Test cricket on Sunday as Team India stood close to a win. Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin played a key part in their technology use. Joe Root had scored an amazing century in the first innings. This made him a key member for England who enjoyed a 46-run first innings lead.

Steve Finn while speaking to TNT Sports said “An excellent review. From the naked eye to me, it looked like it pitched outside leg stump, but clearly, the drift Ashwin gets means that Root had to depart.”

The former England star also praised the passion shown by Team India to get rid of Joe Root. “You can see the passion from Ashwin's celebration, which shows just what that wicket means to India. Crawley is playing well, but Root was the glue that the England middle order could have played around.”

Sunil Gavaskar speaking on Jio Cinema at the end of the day lauded India’s veteran spinner. “India win tomorrow and you go to Dharamsala. I just hope that Rohit allows you to lead the team out to the field when. That will be a wonderful gesture, a wonderful honour for all that you've done for Indian cricket.”

The fifth and final Test match in Dharamsala will be Ashwin’s 100th Test. The 37-year-old is already the second-fastest man to reach the 500-wicket mark in the longest format. It is also a commendable effort by Rohit Sharma to lead an under-strength Indian team to a win. Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Mohammed Shami are some players missing the series.
