The 22-year-old has been the standout performer in the current Test series, and reached his century in the 39th over by hitting a boundary off Mark Wood. Initially cautious after India restricted England to 319 runs in their first innings, the 22-year-old formed a 30-run partnership with Rohit Sharma before Sharma was caught LBW by Joe Root. After Sharma's dismissal, Jaiswal combined with Shubman Gill for a 100-run plus partnership, tilting the game in India's favor.

Jaiswal unleashed a barrage of attacks on seasoned pacer James Anderson, striking him for six and two boundaries. He maintained his aggressive stance against Hartley in the subsequent over, hammering another six to bring up his fifty. Without hesitation, he repeated the feat on the very next delivery, heightening the pressure on the English spinner. Eventually after completing the hundred the talismanic batter had to walk off the field complaining complaint in his back.

Let us look at how Twitter has reacted to this magnificent century by India opener;

I don’t see a single weakness in Jaiswal’s game: Kevin Pietersen

After witnessing Jaiswal's outstanding innings, former England captain Kevin Pietersen remarked that he perceives no weaknesses in the opener's game. However, the former England skipper has noted that Jaiswal's biggest challenge would be to convert his starts into centuries when playing away from home.

“I don’t see a single weakness in Jaiswal’s game in Indian conditions. His greatest challenge is going to be scoring runs away from home. To be classified as a great player at the end of your career, you gotta get 100s away from home in ALL conditions,” said Pietersen.
