Undoubtedly India's day! Started with Yashasvi Jaiswal notching up his maiden double hundred and ended with Jasprit Bumrah registering a magical six-fer. The stage is set for a cracking episode on Sunday, a crucial first session for both teams as it could decide the course of the game.

England were disciplined with their bowling in the morning as they managed to restrict India to less than 400, a nearly par score on this track. The combination of James Anderon, Shoaib Bashir and Rehan Ahmed ended the Indian innings at 396. Jaiswal was the backbone of India's first-innings batting as the southpaw completed his dazzling double century (209 off 290 balls).

The English openers, in reply, made a strong start with Zak Crawley implementing the 'bazball' strategy pretty well. The birthday boy came out all guns blazing and scored a blazing half-century. Just when it looked like he would take the game away from India, Axar Patel made a huge breakthrough and sparked a mini-collapse as well.

Later on, it was Jasprit Bumrah show at the  Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium. The premier pacer demolished the English middle order and went on to finish with a splendid six-wicket haul. Joe Root and Ollie Pope were sent back in quick succession. Jonny Bairstow also had no clue against the right-arm seamer.

Skipper Ben Stokes once again fought hard with the tail-enders but it didn't last long as Bumrah sent the former packing with a toe-crushing yorker. Stokes fell three runs short of his half-century and it also marked the end of fight back from England. The Indian vice-captain wrapped up the innings quickly with two more wickets and finished with figures of 6/45.

India accumulated a 143-run lead and Indian openers - Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma - ended the day by adding 28 more runs in 5 overs. The hosts had a similar advantage in the first Test too, but the tourists ran away with the game in Hyderabad. It will be interesting to see how both teams fare in the first session on Sunday.
