In the 17th over, Afghan all-rounder Karim Janat hit a powerful shot to the long-on boundary off Washington Sundar's delivery. Kohli, who was patrolling the zone, made a perfect jump to prevent the ball from going over the rope. He caught the ball in the air, but expecting his feet to touch the boundary line, the 35-year-old quickly threw the ball into the field and successfully saved four runs.

His save was certainly a match-winner, given the encounter entered the Super Over after Afghanistan scored 212 runs. Apart from that, the ace cricketer took a remarkable catch to dismiss Najibullah Zadran and a brilliant throw in the Super Over. Team India continued the tradition of the dressing room 'Best Fielder Award', with Kohli winning his third on Wednesday night.

Announcing the winner, fielding coach T Dilip heaped praise on Kohli and asked youngsters to follow in the footsteps of the veteran cricketer. Dilip, who received appreciation for introducing a new way to bring the best out of players on the field, said Kohli is an inspiration to everyone.

"He took two medals in the World Cup. And I still remember in West Indies, when he told me he doesn't want to stand in slips, wanted to in short or fine-leg; challenging the youngsters, that he wants to be the best in the World Cup, and he showed that. This is the intensity the man gives to the team. He not only does his job well, but apart from that, he inspires everyone," Dilip said.

"It is a great opportunity to be playing along with him. I would like the other youngsters to come up and start replicating, doing half of it, and the whole team will look very different," he added.
