The Major RMR qualifiers are having a pretty disastrous run. This time around, a bug inside the Nuke map is preventing players from taking some bold angles. The bug currently seems to be on Nuke only.
A clip posted on Reddit reveals that a defending CT holding an angle from “Hell” towards outer T red using an AWP will miss the attacking players for some reason. Moving forward from the angle works, but it also exposes the defender more.
Coach North American squad Nouns Esports, Kory “SEMPHIS” Friesen also said that his team lost that round due to the bug. Players and casters were shocked when it happened during the match.
A similar bug in the past
Many believe this is due to the game’s render setting, while others believe it has something to do with the AWP double zoom. CS2 data miner and content creator ThourCS2 on X last year also prostate something similar.
In a clip, he revealed that double zooming on a player holding Molotov will make them disappear. The reason for this bug or the current one is not clear. Also, there is no information if they are the same bug or some iteration of each other.
This adds another problem to the ongoing major, and while it can be avoided, the RMR qualifiers itself are having a multitude of issues. Teams using exploits, anti-cheat issues, cheating accusations and many more.
The players and viewers are frustrated, calling it the worst CS major. What’s even more shocking is that it is the first CS2 major, and everyone had very high expectations entering a new era.
While Valve has been constantly updating and making fixes, some of these are seemingly slipping through the cracks and affecting the players.
