The legendary Portuguese center-forward Cristiano Ronaldo has made it to the headlines with his sensational deal with the Saudi Arabia-based club AlNassr FC. The 37-year-old has signed a deal with Saudi Arabia till 2025 and the club termed this deal with the former as ‘history in making’.
“I can’t wait to discover a new football league in a different country. The vision with which Al Nassr operates is very inspiring, and I am delighted to join my teammates so that together we can help the team achieve greater success,” said former Manchester United center-forward.
Notably, it is also the biggest sporting deal ever between any club and player as Al Nassr will pay 200 million dollars per year to the six-time Ballon D’or winner.
“History in the making. This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation, and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves. Welcome, Cristiano to your new home Al Nassr FC,” reads the tweet posted on the official Twitter handle of Al Nassr FC including pictures of the Portuguese skipper in club outfits.

The fans have also come up with multiple reactions on Twitter following this whopping deal between the football prodigy and an Asian Club. Although the reactions were divided as a few of the fans questioned Ronaldo for leaving Manchester United for not being ambitious and then settling down at a Saudi-based club. For the unversed, Al Nassr has finished as champions in nine league titles held in Saudi Arabia winning the last one three years back in 2019.

Although it hasn’t been a year for Ronaldo that he would’ve ever expected in his football career, get benched while playing for Portugal and the major rifts with Red Devils coach Erik Ten Hag came very hard for him.
His infamous TV interview with veteran football journalist Piers drew a lot of controversies for his aggressive statements for Manchester United and coach ETH.
