Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt locked horns in the thrilling final of the UEFA Super Cup 2022. The Spanish side completely outplayed Frankfurt to win the title in style. Notably, Madrid’s coach Carlo Ancelotti has made a new record after achieving his fourth title triumph as a coach.
Apart from this, senior center-forward and skipper Kareem Benzema has become the all-time second highest goal-scorer for Madrid in history among all who ever played the game. Frankfurt went on to give a tough fight to Real Madrid despite a slow start in the match.

David Alaba and Kareem Benzema ended up as the two goal-scorers for the Spanish outfit in the final of one of the Prestigious tournaments of football in Europe. It was the 65th minute of the game when skipper Benzema took the lead to 2-0 with his goal on an easy pass from Los Blancos.
The 30-year-old defensive mid-fielder of Madrid Casemiro won the award of player of the match for his assistance in a goal at the crucial juncture of the match. He also talked about the match experience in the post-match ceremony.
“He balanced the game well when his team attacked. He won every tackle in very important areas when supporting the central defenders. He also set up the first goal,” said Casemiro in his statement.
Interestingly, it is the 98th title for the Spanish Giants which they won in a unique fashion against Frankfurt.
Real Madrid’s coach Carlos Ancelotti also expressed his feelings after winning the fourth title during his stint with the club.
"I didn't need this win to be able to tell you all that my team is still hungry and motivated. It was a match which was more complicated than it might have looked,” Ancelotti was quoted as saying.
“We could have scored one or two more in the first half and also in the second half. In the last few months, we've had three finals and I've kept a clean sheet in each of them. It's always important. We know with the strikers we have up front, we'll always score a goal,” he added later.
