Manchester City had a fantastic 2022/23 season as they managed to win a European Treble by winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League (UCL). In the FA Cup final, they defeated their arch-rivals Manchester United in Wembley while defeating Italy’s Inter Milan in the UCL final in Istanbul. They also completed a Premier League three-peat (winning the league three consecutive years).
Meanwhile, it was their first-ever UCL triumph in the history of that football club. So, after that, all players and club staff were celebrating madly on the ground along with their family members. Phil Foden is an integral part of Man City and his son, Ronnie Foden hit the headlines that night for his swag while celebrating that victory with the players.
Ronnie Foden earned the nickname 'El Wey or 'The Dude' among Man City fans
Images and videos went viral where Ronnie was found posing with the UCL Trophy. Even, Erling Haaland was found celebrating with the kid in the dressing room. But, now the four-year kid has opened an account on Instagram and racked up more than one million followers in 24 hours. Seeing that, fans went crazy and shared their views. Man City loved the way the kid celebrated their success and seeing his swag, he got the nickname 'El Wey or 'The Dude'. At the time of this writing, he has 1.5 million followers while following 68 persons. Only two posts have been posted so far.
Currently, Man City players are on vacation as the club is getting ready for the next 2023/24 season. Their star midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan has already left the club as he joined FC Barcelona on a free transfer. However, the club has reportedly agreed a deal of £30m (£25m guaranteed plus £5m in performance-related add-ons) for Mateo Kovacic with Chelsea. They are also linked with West Ham’s star midfielder Declan Rice and RB Leipzig’s star defender, Joško Gvardiol.
