Odisha FC hosted Kerala Blasters FC for the 15th match of the Indian Super League 2022. This match was a must-win clash for both teams to improve their standing in the table of the tournament. After trailing by a difference of one goal in the first half, the hosts finally managed to cross the line against KBFC.

The result of the match was like a setback for the KBFC as they couldn’t execute their plans on the field. Notably, Odisha make a stunning comeback in the second half of the match and gave a festive treat to the local fans who were present there to witness the game.

The match started with the first whistle from referee L Priyobarta Singh. The visitors maintained their domination in the first half, and it was translated into a brilliant goal by the senior Indian right-back Harmanjot Singh Khabra in the 35th minute of the match. For this goal, Khabra was assisted by none other than Adriana Luna to provide a lead for the KBFC in the first half.

Kerala managed to keep this lead with them till the end of the first half but things changed drastically in the favor of OFC when Jerry Mawihmingthanga smashed a stunner in the 54th minute of the match to level the scores for his team. The score was leveled till the match entered the last five minutes of the main time.

But the spectators present there in the Kalinga stadium came on their toes when Amrinder Singh assisted a brilliant pass in the 86th minute to Pedro Martin and the latter did not mistake in converting it into a winning goal for Odisha.

So, it was Odisha who was above the line at the time of the last whistle with a winning difference of 2-1 to register their second win out of three matches in the tournament so far. Pedro Martin won the ‘hero of the match for his match-turning goal in the favor of the home team.
