The breathtaking football action continued in Indian Super League 2022 as North East FC and Hyderabad FC locked horns on Thursday. Hyderabad FC came into the match having drawn their last game against Mumbai City FC. On the other hand, North East United FC came into this game having lost their previous game against Bengaluru FC.
The crowd at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati was desperately waiting for the action to get underway. The crowd was heard cheering at the top of their voice as the referee signaled kick-off. The home side was desperate to get off to good start and put their opposition but failed to create chances.
Bartholomew Ogbeche opened the account for Hyderabad as he netted the ball in the 13th minute following a brilliant cross in from a dead ball by Yasir. After being 1-0 down early on, North East United gave their all to make a comeback.

The Hyderabad team was in no mood to settle down as Javier Siverio attempted another goal in the 25th minute. But North East United Goal Keeper Arindam Bhattacharya stretched out to save his team from going 2-0 down.
Hyderabad continued their dominant show throughout the first half as Northeast United were left were desperate to open their account. The first half finished with a 1-0 in favor of Hyderabad.
Northeast United took the field in the second half to net their first goal and level the goal tally. However, Hyderabad was relentless in its approach and continued its domination in the second half. Halicharan Narzary scored the second goal for Hyderabad in the 69th minute further stamping their authority on the home side.
Throughout the game, there were brilliant saves by Northeast Goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya who saved his team from further agony. Hyderabad was in no mood to stop as Borja netted the third Goal further showing their ascendancy in the game. After the completion of 90 minutes, five minutes extra time was added. But the game had become a mere formality by then as Northeast United needed a miracle to make a comeback.
As the referee gave the final whistle after the completion of the entire time, Hyderabad players began celebrating their victory by 3-0 as they registered their first win of the tournament.
