On 3 December 2022, all four teams were in action in Group G for the last time in the group stage. Brazil already qualified for the next round of the ongoing FIFA World Cup. However, Cameroon and Switzerland had a chance to get qualified for the Round of 16. So, their respective clashes were must-win clashes.
Brazil took on Cameroon in the Lusail Stadium. On the other hand, Switzerland locked horns with Serbia in Stadium 974. However, Brazilian superstar Neymar missed this clash again due to his ankle injury. So, it was another test for Brazil on how they cope without their star man in the mix-up.

Brazil vs Cameroon
As Brazil was already qualified for the second round, head coach Tite made several changes. He got a chance to see his bench strength in this clash. In the second minute, Fred had a shot but it was a comfortable save by Cameroon’s goalkeeper. In the 14th minute, Martinelli managed a header but Devis Epassy saved it again. After that, Eric Maxim Choupo-moting had a shot in the 20th minute.
But, Eder Militao’s block was enough to deny him the opener. After that, despite a lot of chances, either team failed to convert those. Thus, the first half ended 0-0. In the second half, both teams tried but failed to convert their chances. However, in the 90+2' minute, Vincent Aboubakar scored the opener for Cameroon. Finally, the game ended 1-0 in favor of Cameroon.
Serbia vs Switzerland
Both these teams had a chance to get qualified. So, they began the game in a controlled manner. However, it did not take too long for Switzerland to score the opener. Xherdan Shaqiri scored the goal while Mohameth Sow provided the assist. Then, Serbia responded in the 26th minute. Aleksandar Mitrovic scored the equalizer while Dusan Tadic assisted him.
Then, they made it 2-1 in the 35th minute. Dusan Vlahovic scored that goal. But, Swiss players managed to equalize in the 44th minute. Breel Embolo scored the goal while Silvan Widmer assisted. Thus, the first half ended 2-2. In the second half, Switzerland took the lead again in the 48th minute. Remo Freuler scored the goal while Ruben Vargas assisted him. Finally, they managed to hold that lead and won the match 3-2 to qualify for the Round of 16.
