Argentina won the FIFA World Cup 2022 outclassing the defending champions France in the final of the tournament. Both teams played this match at the Lusail Stadium of Doha in Qatar. Notably, it is the third title for La Albiceleste which came after a long wait of 36 years. Skipper and legendary center-forward Lionel Messi led the team from the front and guided it to the World Cup title.
Apart from that, the 23-year-old French prodigy and sensational forward Kylian Mbappe also created history with an amazing hat-trick in a World Cup final. He is now the only footballer in the history of the World Cup to score a hat-trick in a final after Geoff Hurst 56 years back in the year 1966.
Mbappe also ended up winning the golden boot with eight goals to his name in the tournament. Whereas, the Argentine legend Messi won the golden ball award.
