The Erik ten Hag era at Manchester United began on a positive note as the club managed to win a cup and finished in the third position at the table while grabbing a palace in next year’s Champions League. But, ahead of the season, the Red Devils are looking for a striker and they are currently linked with several strikers.

However, they were linked with a move for Harry Kane but now, as per recent reports, Spurs are not willing to sell the striker to a Premier League rival. Now, there are rumours that the Atalanta striker, Rasmus Hojlund is on the list of strikers for the club for the next season. Now, the United mid-fielder, Christian Eriksen opened up about the rumoured links of the striker to the club.

“What the club ends up doing, I will not be able to answer.” - Christian Eriksen on Rasmus Hojlund

While speaking to Ekstra Bladet, Eriksen said: "I can see him at Manchester United, but I haven't recommended him to Erik ten Hag. He is a fantastic guy and a good player and has really developed brilliantly at Atalanta. What the club ends up doing, I will not be able to answer.” He also added that for a young player like him, it is not easy to get settled at a big club like Manchester United.

"It's a club where there's a huge amount of attention because everyone has an attitude towards Manchester United. I had tried a lot when I came to the club. So I knew a little bit about what size the club was. For younger players who come to the club, it can be really difficult, because the club is the size it is now," he concluded. Both these players play for Denmark in the international arena.

As per reports, Atalanta have set an asking price of atleast €65m for the Denmark striker. Last summer, he joined Atalanta from the Austrian side Sturm Graz and had an impressive debut season. In 33 games, he scored 10 goals while managing four assists.
