Giant German football club Bayern Munich locked horns with RB Leipzig in the final of the German Super Cup (DFL-Supercup). They clinched the title with a win in the final by a handsome score line of 5-3. The 30-year-old newly contracted Senegalese Sadio Mane went on to score his goal in his first match for the Club.
The senior left winger’s goal helped Bayern to get a lead of 3-0 at the end of the first half. Along with Mane, Jamal Musiala and Benjamin Pavard also scored goals in the first half to secure a big lead for the team.

At the start of the second half, Leipzig’s 30-year-old left-back Marcel Halstenberg narrowed the gap with a magnificent goal with a header. But Bayern’s right winger Serge Gnabry added one more goal to the score line for his team in the 65th minute of the match.
Young French striker Christopher Nkunku scored the second goal for Leipzig and further reduced the difference only to two goals. The score line had now reached the figure of 2-4. Almost at the end of the match, the 24-year-old midfielder Dani Olmo scored a goal to increase the heartbeat of the Bayern and narrowed the gap only to one goal to write a score line of 3-4.
It was the moment when the hosts started taking risks to end the match on an equal note. But the 98th minute of the match came as a turning point for both teams. The Essen-based left winger Leroy Sane went on to register a brilliant sole effort match-defining goal to his name and Bayern also heaved a sigh of relief. The score line finally reached 5-3 and won the title.

Notably, Bayern Munich has won this cup for the record 10th time in the history of the tournament. The club has recently signed some players in the football transfer window ahead of the season of 2022-23.
