The wax statue of star French footballer Antoine Griezmann was unveiled at The Musee Grevin in Paris, which also houses wax sculptures of Kylian Mbappe and Zinedine Zidane. He is the third French soccer star, after Mbappe and Zidane, to have a monument in the museum.
Griezmann was a crucial part of the French football squad that advanced to the FIFA World Cup 2022 final. Although he failed to score a goal at the World Cup in Qatar, he did create several chances and drop deep to disrupt play.
The Atletico Madrid forward was named Player of the Tournament and the top scorer as France finished second at the 2016 UEFA Euros. He also earned the Silver Boot as the second-highest scorer as France managed to win the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Earlier in the month, Atletico Madrid defeated Athletic Bilbao 1-0 thanks to a brilliant goal by Griezmann. He run from close to the halfway line to utilize the goal and it helped Diego Simeone's squad maintain its grip on the final Champions League spot.

Lately, Griezmann has failed to impress fans due to his poor performance. The goal against Bilabo was his 2nd goal in the last 17 games for the club. However, after that, he has been phenomenal for Diego's team.
He has 8 goals and 9 assists this season which is equal to 45% of Atletico's scores. Notably, Griezmann is now on the verge of becoming the most assists record. He has been spectacular since his phenomenal goal against Bilabo earlier this month.
Talking about Atletico, this season they have been in a mediocre run as they have scored 45 points in 24 matches. They are in 3rd place in the table right after Barcelona and Real Madrid. Diego and co will face Girona on 14th March.
