Several world-class players went under the hammer during the mega auction for the 15th edition of the Indian T20 league. Among them, Yuzvendra Chahal was one of the biggest names, as there was a lot of hype around him ahead of the mega event. At the end, it was Rajasthan who managed to buy him for a whopping amount of INR 6.5 crore.
It wouldn't be an overstatement to say that Chahal has been one of the best spinners in the toughest 20 for quite a while now. So far, he has picked 139 wickets in 114 games at an economy rate of 7.59. Over the years, he has been synonymous with Bangalore, and has been one of their biggest match-winners in the last few seasons.
However, he will now be seen playing for the 2008-champions. In a recent video posted by the franchise, the Rajasthan team management seemed absolutely thrilled after getting the leggie. They candidly expressed their joy over getting him.
It's going to be fun: Yuzvendra Chahal
Chahal had a telephonic conversation with the franchise as well. The 31-year-old can be seen confirming his jersey number. He told them that his jersey number is three. In the meanwhile, the Rajasthan-based franchise had earlier posted a video where the spinner showed his excitement over getting picked by the franchise.

"Thank you Rajasthan family for showing faith in me and having me and can't wait to work with Kumar Sangakkara, Sanju my Chintu brother and admin, be careful. It's going to be fun. Halla Bol," said Yuzvendra Chahal. It is to be noted that he was initially with Bangalore, and represented them for eight years.
Alongside Chahal, Rajasthan also managed to acquire the services of Ravichandran Ashwin. Thus, it will be exciting to watch the two spinners play together. Besides, the Samson-led side have a formidable squad on paper.
