England legendary pacer Stuart Broad turned 36 on Friday. Even after 154 Tests for his nation, he is still one of the fittest pacers in the world and has made his comeback to the team. For the unversed, Broad was 'rested' for the tour of the West Indies a few months ago. After the snub, he was understandably upset. However, ahead of the ongoing series against New Zealand, he was recalled.
After all, the Three Lions weren't expected to lose against a weak West Indies side but they did. Meanwhile, in the initial years of his international career, he wasn't known much in the cricketing circles. His first shot to fame was being hit by Yuvraj Singh for six sixes in the 2007 20-20 World Cup. India and England played against each other in the Super Eight game where Singh was instigated by Andrew Flintoff.
What followed was absolute carnage. The right-arm pacer from Nottingham was bashed for six hits over the ropes and the young prodigy at the time looked clueless. The Men in Blue went on to win the game and the rest is history. The fans from that era never forget the feat and have had banter with Broad about the same over the years.
Few years down the line, the 2010 20-20 World Cup winner was invited for Singh's wedding in 2016. Fans also took a dig on the Englishman on social media. Meanwhile, the two-time World Championship winner has shown a great amount of respect over the years. Few years ago, the left-hander acknowledged how the lanky pacer made a mark for himself after the 2007 incident. Once again, the 40-year-old has wished his English counterpart on his 36th birth anniversary.

Meanwhile, on his 36th birthday, Broad has reached the milestone of 549 wickets in the longest format and is one wicket away from picking the 550th. He would be the third pacer after Glenn McGrath and James Anderson to do so.
