India and Bangladesh faced off against each other in the third ODI of the series on December 10, Saturday and it was the Men in Blue who clinched the win on the day. To add more, it was Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli who helped the Indian team with 210 and 113 respectively to put on a massive total of 409 on board at the end of the first innings. Eventually, India went on to win the game by a massive 227 runs and pull off their largest-ever win in the format.
While many went on to heap praise on Kishan for scoring the fastest double-century in the ODI format, there were a few who went on to hail Kohli for scoring his 44th ODI century. Eventually, the Indian superstar went past Ricky Ponting's record and became the player with the second-highest centuries in international cricket with 72 to his name.
I think it was a perfect wicket to bat on: Ishan Kishan
Post the conclusion of the game, Kishan, who was awarded the Player of the Match award for his stupendous innings, said that it was a perfect wicket to bat on and added that he was just looking to watch the ball and play his natural game. Further, Kishan expressed his delight to play alongside the likes of Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan.
"I think it was a perfect wicket to bat on. Perfect situation for me as well. Was looking to watch the ball properly and go with the flow. I think when you have so many senior players in the team. We have been doing conversations. Here at the international stage, you try to get a lot when you get a few," Kishan was quoted as saying post the conclusion of the match.
"I got a lot of help from the support staff. I was just picking the ball and the bowlers. Things went my way. After looking at the wicket, I knew it was going to play well. Was trying to smash the loose balls. There is so much conversation going on in the team for the fitness," he added.
