But, on day two, England struck early as Stuart Broad dismissed both David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne in two consecutive balls. That left the crowd at Edgbaston crazy. Then, Steve Smith came out to bat to face the hat-trick ball. But, he left that ball in an awkward pose as the image went viral instantly. Fans also shared funny comments on social media.

The incident took place during the 11th over of Australia’s innings. On the first two deliveries, Broad took the wickets of Warner and Labuschagne. The veteran batter’s nightmare against the England pacer continued as he dragged a ball while going for a drive after scoring nine runs off 27 balls, including two boundaries. Then, the number one ranked Test batter nicked the first delivery and Jonny Bairstow took a brilliant diving catch to dismiss him. So, all eyes were on Broad when Smith came out to face the hat-trick ball.

England also set a unique field for the batter with two leg slips. But, Broad bowled the ball down the leg side and Smith left it with ease along with a unique pose. However, it is not the first time when Steve Smith has come up with some unique pose while leaving the ball. Speaking of the match, Ben Stoke’s team left everyone shocked and surprised when they declared for 393 runs on day one on a pitch that looked very flat. Joe Root remained not out on 118* runs off 152 balls, including seven fours and four sixes. Currently, Steve Smith and Usman Khawaja are batting as the Aussies are on 62 runs for two wickets in 23 overs.
