Gill further said "If any player is doing well in any team, everyone looks at their game to see what makes them special and why they are so good. We do that as well. Babar Azam is a world-class player. We watch and admire him." India did not have the best of starts in the last game against Pakistan as the Men in Blue were 66-4 at one stage before Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya cracked amazing 80s to get India to a reasonable total at the end of their innings.

Babar Azam scored 151 off 131 balls against Nepal in Pakistan's first Asia Cup game

The Men in Blue have had their problems against left-arm pacers and in the last game, the top order did not look very comfortable against Shaheen Afridi. India will be hoping to put up a better batting show against Pakistan during the second encounter. The Indian lower order also did not match the fire of the Pakistan pace attack consisting of Shaheen along with Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf.

Pakistan on the other hand have done well so far in the Asia Cup with a dominant win against Nepal by 238 runs and then they flexed their muscles against Bangladesh with a win by seven wickets. The Super Four game also has a reserve day due to the inclement weather in Colombo.

Babar Azam showed his class against Nepal when he smashed a superlative 151 off 131 balls with 14 fours and four sixes. This helped him rescue Pakistan from a tricky position at 124-4. Pakistan's best batter would be wanting to show his class against India and make a statement ahead of the 2023 World Cup.
