This has been a successful marriage season for many Pakistan players. Players like Shan Masood, Shaheen Afridi, and Shadab Khan got married recently. However, their skipper Babar Azam also attended those ceremonies. Currently, all these players are busy playing in the ongoing Pakistan Super League.
Now, Babar Azam is the skipper of the Peshawar Zalmi side. They will be in action again on 26 February 2023 against Lahore Qalandars in Lahore. Now, prior to that game, the Pakistan skipper attended a press conference and shared his marriage plans in reply to a question from a reporter. Hearing such a reply, fans went crazy and shared their views on the social media platform.
Babar Azam is the leading run-scorer in the history of PSL
Speaking of the video, the journalist asked: "Aap kaptaan hai. Aapke saare ladko ki shaadiya ho rahi hai aur aapka baal safed hota jaa raha hai. Toh aapka kab iraada hai shaadi ka? (You are the captain. All of your players are getting married, and your hair is turning grey. So when are you planning to get married?)”
In reply, Babar Azam said: "Safed age ki wajah se nahi, shuru se hai safed. Yeh nahi ki shaadi ke liye ho rahi hai. Dekhiye, jab time aayega tab ho jaayega. Time ka wait main bhi kar raha hu, aap bhi karein (My hair was always white, and it is not because of the fact that I am thinking about marriage. See, when the time is right, marriage will happen. I am waiting for the time to come, and you should wait too.)"
Speaking about the form of Babar Azam in PSL 8, he has scored 171 runs in four innings, at an average of 57. However, his captaincy has been very moderate as the Peshawar side are currently in fourth place with four points from four games. So, he will look to lead the team in a better way to improve their chances to get qualifying for the final stages.
