'Ye hui na baat ab bas aisa World Cup mein bhi khele' - Fans react as India win 4th T20I of series against West Indies

As the T20I action shifted to the United States of America, the Indian team annihilated the West Indies by nine wickets in the fourth T20 International at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida. After winning the toss, the West Indies side opted to bat first on a pitch that was batting-friendly and even the West Indies side looked threatening with the bat inside the batting powerplay.

In the batting powerplay, the Windes, despite losing two wickets, cruised to a total of 55 runs. But once again, as one has witnessed so often in this tour, the spinners applied the brakes on the scoring and at the same time also picked up wickets. The duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal proved to be very effective for the Indian team in the middle overs as both the spinners bowled in good tandem and at the same time picked up four wickets between them.

Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, the West Indies side somehow clawed their back into the game and posted a decent score of 178 runs in their allocated 20 overs. The total was relatively low considering how the pitch was behaving. Shimron Hetmyer was the lone warrior with the bat for the West Indies side as the Southpaw went on to score a brilliant inning of 61 runs off just 39 balls with the help of three boundaries and four astonishing sixes.

In reply to the tricky total of 179 runs to win, the pair of Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal started off in a similar fashion as they were in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The pair went onto hot boundaries and sixes for fun.

It seemed they were toying around with the West Indies bowling, with Jaiswal being the initial aggressor and Gill also later joined the party to show some of his range-hitting ability. The left-hand batter remained unbeaten on 84 runs off just 51 deliveries while Gill was undone by Romario Shepherd but was successful in scoring 77 runs off just 47 deliveries with three boundaries and five mighty sixes to his name.

Let us now look at how Twitter has reacted to the gigantic win from the India  team:
