WPL 2024: Full list of players released and retained by teams

Gujarat Giants have released most players compared to the other teams for the second season of the WPL next year. Mumbai Indians will be the defending champions

The Indian Cricket Board has announced the squads before the Women's Premier League (WPL) player auction, to be held on an unannounced date. Meanwhile, ahead of the auction, all five teams such as Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, UP Warriors, and Gujarat Giants have finalized their released and retained players for the next season.

Talking about the title holders, MI, they have a purse of INR 2.1 crores. On the other hand, the 2023 finalists, DC have 2.25 crores in their kitty. Gujarat Giants, who finished poorly, have 5.95 crores, having released most players. The likes of RCB and UP Warriors have 3.35 and 1.4 crores respectively.
